Are you a Teen who is WILD about the WILD?

ZooTeens may be just what you are looking for! The ZooTeen Volunteer Program, a partnership between Riverbanks Zoo and Garden and the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands, connects area teenagers to nature and their community, providing opportunities to grow into successful young adults, ready to inspire positive changes in the world. ZooTeens is a great way to meet new friends, have fun with peers and gain valuable life skills. The ZooTeen Program provides two years of fun, adventure, animal handling and training to develop team-building, public speaking, leadership and job readiness skills... all the while having a WILD time!

Be Wild! Be Great! Be a Zoo Teen!

Junior Staff

Teens have an opportunity to gain valuable work experience, demonstrate a sense of responsibility, and earn a paycheck as a Junior Staff member. In our Clubs, Junior Staff serve as role models to younger members as they assist full-time professional staff in a variety of program areas and at the front desk. Young people prepare for future roles as human services professionals by participating in career development activities, discovering the importance of community service, building customer service skills, interpersonal skills, work ethic and sense of community responsibility.
